NM26 Abstract

In this paper we will give a short outline of our main beliefs.

A Short Outline of Our Beliefs

Here follows an outline of our belief concerning the plan of creation, which we ascertained through scripture, patterns in scripture, and logic. Read Introduction to this book, to understand our premises and to better understand why we use the Bible and believe that the Bible reveals the truth. Better yet, read all of the many papers we offer for more details. It is almost impossible to understand this outline in full without studying all the BeComingOne Papers. Please do not jump to conclusions.

1. Before the Beginning the All Powerful God Predestinated Events.

nm1046 >> Scripture indicated that God predestinated events before the creation. Christians were chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4). Jesus Christ, what he would do and what would happen to him, was foreordained before the foundation of the world or cosmos (1Pet 1:19-20; Act 2:23; 3:18; 4:27-28). God who is all powerful predestinated everything (NM 8; NM 9; etc.). Even evil was predestinated (Rom 9:21-23; Jude 1:4; Prov 16:4; 1Peter 2:8; etc.). God in his all powerfulness even commands Satan, the leader of evil (Job 1:12; 2:6). In his predestination God predestinated everything before the cosmos began, before good (as we know it), before evil (as we know it), before law (as we know it), and consequently, before sin (as we know it).

2. In The Beginning God Created The Cosmos; In The Six Literal Days God Created The First Cosmos From The Laws And Matter Created On The Very First Day.

nm1047 >> In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, that is, the cosmos (Gen 1:1; Isa 48:3, 13; Heb 4:3). After the creation of the heavens and the earth, or the cosmos (Gen 1:1), the earth was not yet finished: "the earth was without form and void" (Gen 1:2). God continued to create during the first six days of creation and rested on the seventh day (Gen 1: 3-2:3). It was only when the real God creates and finishes everything that it is pronounced good: "everything that he had made ... was very good" (Gen 1:31; 2:1). What the true God creates is good, not in confusion, for God is not the author of confusion (1Cor 14:33; see Isaiah 45:18; 1Tim 4:4; Deut 32:4). This creation week typified the longer spiritual creation of approximately 7,000 years. Peter called a day of God being equal to 1000 years (2Peter 3:8). The book of Revelation speaks of a 1000 year period when Satan is put away. This 1000 year period is like a rest period for mankind, a rest without evil (NM15; NM16).

3. Man Went Out of God To learn Good And Evil; The Kingdom of The Adversary Begins.

nm1048 >> After man was created, a spiritual adversary misled man to break a law of God (Gen 2:16-17; 3:1-24). This spiritual adversary was "the old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world" (Rev 12:9). See the "Other Mind Paper" [NM 21] for more information on this apparent myth concerning the "serpent." Mankind by breaking this first law of God was sent out of the Garden of Eden and, "Behold, the man is become as one out of [or from] us, to know good and evil" (Gen 3:22). After mankind sinned in the Garden they were sent out to learn good and evil (see the "Reason Why" paper [NM 20] and see GP 7 of the God Papers for the reason for evil). There is a great reason why the all powerful God allowed evil.

4. The Breaking of God's First Law Manifests the Other-Mind Inside Mankind.

nm1049 >> In the "Other Mind Paper" [NM 21] we learn why man broke the first law of God and why this present age is an age of confusion and hate. It was the other-mind inside of man's mind that misled man into breaking God's first law. Because of this the world has been held in "the bondage of corruption" and "the whole creation groans and travails in pain" because of the other-mind's power (Rom 8:21, 22; Rev 12:9; 13:2,3; see the "Other Mind Paper" [NM 21]).

5. God Promised a Savior To Save Mankind

nm1050 >> When God spoke to the "serpent" after he had misled man into taking the forbidden fruit, God said he would send a child of the woman ("her seed") and that he "shall bruise your [serpent's] head and you [serpent] shall bruise his [the seed's] heel" (Gen 3:14, 15). See the "Other Mind Paper" [NM 21] to understand the serpent of Genesis.

There was a child that was born of a woman (Gal 4:4) who will "bruise Satan," and he is Jesus Christ (Rom 16:20). "Jesus" is a word that means, Jehovah's Savior, and "Christ" is a word that means, anointed. Christ Jesus is the, "Anointed Savior of Jehovah." He is "the Savior of the cosmos" (1John 4:14).

Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, who is/will save the world from the spiritual adversary's influence that now is misleading mankind towards destruction. See the God Papers to understand who is Jesus Christ.

6. The Messiah Savior, Jesus Christ Came in the Flesh, and Died.

nm1051 >> But Jesus Christ was a man ("the man Christ Jesus," 1Tim 2:5); he came in the flesh as a man (1John 4:1-3). Jesus Christ was a man born to be savior of the world, yet he did not save the world when he was alive. He died on a stake and was buried (John 19:16-17, 33, 40-41). While he was on earth, before his death, he had the Spirit of God in him, leading him and giving him power over evil (GP 4). In fact, this "Spirit of God" was the actual angel of God who helped Israel in the Old Testament (GP 3; GP 4; GP 5).

7. But Jesus Christ Was Resurrected and Became God.

nm1052 >> After Jesus was resurrected, Thomas called him "My Lord and my God," for he was in God (John 20:28; see God Papers). Jesus who was born a man actually went into God and sits at God's right hand, as the right side of God (GP 5). The Bible talks about human beings actually becoming like God - that is, being born of God (1John 3:9; 5:18). If one is born of mankind, we know he is a man. If one is born of God, we know he is a God-like person - a son or daughter of God. The Bible actually calls man, Gods (John 10:33-35). In some way mankind will become God-like. See the God Papers to understand who or what is God, and in what way and how Jesus became God. It is by Jesus Christ's new life as God that He will save us (Rom 5:10).

8. Jesus Christ Promised to Return to Earth.

nm1053 >> Time after time Christ promised to return to the earth (Mat 24:27; 30-31, 42; Mark 13:26; Luke 12:42-43; 13:28-29; 17:24; 18:8; 19:12; 21:27; John 14:3).

9. When Will Christ Return? - At The End of The Age.

nm1054 >> Notice what Christ's students asked him: "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and the end of the age?" (Mat 24:3) What age is being spoken about here? It is the present age of confusion that is being spoken about. See End of the Age for more details.

10. Christ The God Will Come to Save Mankind at the End of the Age of the Adversary's Spiritual Rulership.

nm1055 >> Christ will come as the savior of mankind; he will save man from destroying themselves: "for the son of man [Christ] is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them" (Luke 9:56). There is going to be a great Last War at the end of the age, and if Christ does not come to save, then no flesh will be saved out of this war (Mark 13:20; see "Last War and God's Wrath" paper [PR4; PR5; PR6]).

11. At The Same Time Christ Will Judge Mankind.

nm1056 >> The judgment of God is probably the most misunderstood doctrine of the Bible. What is God's judgement?: "The Lord is known by the judgment which he executes: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands" (Psa 9:16). In other words, Christ the God will come to save the world after an atomic Last War has started before he returns to the physical dimension. And God's judgment is to let the works of man's OWN hands (their own weapons) begin to destroy mankind, then He saves mankind from their own madness. Man thus actually judges his own self, but God comes to save. See "Last War and God's Wrath" paper [PR5] for information on the Last War.

There will be a 1000 year judgment (see "Thousand Years and Beyond Paper"[NM 15]). This is the judgment of the dead. Some people have mixed this judgment up and turned it into a "hell" theory, or "lake of fire" theory.

12. Christ The God Will Come to Set Up The Kingdom of God on Earth.

nm1057 >> Christ will return to set up the kingdom or rulership of God that will rule all the earth. Notice what prophecy shows: "the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign into the ages of ages" (Rev 11:15). At His return the kingdoms of the world will be His. Since Christ is God, then these kingdoms will become the kingdoms of God.

nm1058 >> Notice in Daniel 7:14 where it prophesies of Christ's return, "and there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations and languages, should serve him." The kingdom of God will rule people, all people. This is the time God will live with mankind and rule mankind (Rev 20:4). This kingdom of God will rule on earth with the saints, "and they shall reign ON the earth" (Rev 5:10). Notice that the symbolic stone, which is a symbol of Christ, smote the image, which represents the world's kingdoms, "and filled the whole earth" (Dan. 2:35).

nm1059 >> The Messiah is coming to set up a kingdom on the earth to bring mankind into a utopia. God will then be King of kings (Rev 19:16).

13. But What Is The Kingdom of God?

nm1060 >> A kingdom is a kingdom. It is a system of rulership. The expression, kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven, is used about 150 times in the New Testament of the Bible. And tens of times in the Old Testament it speaks about God setting up a kingdom on earth. In the book of Isaiah it continually speaks of the Lord (BeComingOne, that is "Jehovah" or YHWH) coming to earth to save his people and setting up a utopian society.

nm1061 >> Some think the Church is the kingdom of heaven or of God. But God's Bible says that when the kingdom is set up there will be no misery, no wrong, no tears (Isa 2:4; 11:9; Zeph 3:15; Rev 21:4). In the truest sense, the kingdom has not come to the earth. The Church now is merely a typical kingdom of God with only some of the world's people in it. Not until the Messiah comes with His peace, will there be true peace.

nm1062 >> We know the kingdom of God is here only when we see Christ coming in clouds (the smoke of the Last War), for "every eye shall see him" (Rev 1:7). All will eventually see him. Since God is coming to save the world from cosmocide, and since he comes to set up a system of peace, and since everyone will literally see him; then we know he has not come yet and the kingdom is not set up on earth yet, for we still have war and we do not see anyone on earth like Christ. If you study the resurrected Christ you see pictured a person that could appear from nowhere and disappear out of sight. But when he appeared he was flesh and blood just like us. But he could change his body at will into an invisible body that could go through walls and any other matter. There is no one on earth who can walk through walls or appear and disappear at will; thus, Christ has not returned yet. If any one says to you that he is Christ, ask him to kindly walk through the wall (of course walk through the wall without harming it like Christ did). See the God Papers to understand who or what is God. Christ's main message throughout his ministry on earth was about the coming of the kingdom of God: "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God" (Mark 1:14). He preached the gospel of the kingdom of God. The word "gospel" is translated from a Greek word that means good news. Christ was teaching people about the good news of the kingdom of God. It is good news because when the kingdom of God is set up there will be complete peace (Isa 2:4).

nm1063 >> Paul the apostle also taught about the kingdom of God (Acts 19:8; 20:25; 28:23, 31).

nm1064 >> Christ sent 70 men preaching the kingdom of God (Luke 10:9). He sent the apostles to preach the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1a-2). In fact one of the most important things that the Church has to do in this age is teach about the kingdom (Mat 24:14; Mark 16:15; Col 1:23).

14. What Will Happen During The Kingdom of God?

nm1065 >> As Isaiah 2:4 says the first thing that will happen is "they shall beat their swords [weapons] into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more" (Isa 2:4). This will happen because man's mind will change the instant Christ the God returns physically to earth. God will put away the spiritual adversary out of man's mind (Zech 13:2; Rev 20:1-3; see the "Other Mind Paper" [NM 21]). Man's attitude will change. He will no longer desire violence.

What Are Some of the Specific Changes God Will Make When He Returns?

nm1066 >> A. Cities Rebuilt. Just before Christ the God's return there will be a Last War that will be destroying the earth (see "Last War and God's Wrath" paper [PR5]). The cities destroyed in this war will be rebuilt (Amos 9:14).

nm1067 >> B. The Earth Repopulated. After this Last War many of the people alive now will be dead. The earth will be repopulated (Ezek 36:10-11).

nm1068 >> C. The Earth's Surface Renewed. After the Last War the world will have atomic waste. But Christ the God will renew the surface of the world (Psa 104:30; Isa 61:4). This is the typical creation of the new heaven and earth.

nm1069 >> D. Trees And Forests Will Be Everywhere even in the places where there are now deserts (compare Isa 41:19; 29:17; 60:13; 51:3).

nm1070 >> E. Great Highways Will Be Built (Isa 19:23; 11:16; 40:3).

nm1071 >> F. Children Will Play With Animals That Are Now Wild. Animals will all be tame in the kingdom of God (Isa 11:6-7).

nm1072 >> G. Everyone Will Own His Own Land with the products of the land for their personal use (Amos 9:14; Isa 65:21-22; Micah 4:4).

nm1073 >> H. Rain Will Fall At The Right Time In The Right Amounts so as to produce fantastic crops (Ezek 34:26; Isa 30:23; Jer 31:5, 12; Amos 9:13; Ezek 36:29-30).

nm1074 >> I. A New Clear Language will be given to all mankind; there will be one language (Zeph 3:9).

nm1075 >> J. There Will Be No More Sickness; all diseases will be cured (Isa 58:8; 33:24; 35:5-6; Jer 31:13-14). There will be no more sickness because Christ the God will heal them (Jer 30:17).

nm1076 >> K. There Will Be True Freedom. When people speak of freedom they mean not total freedom, but freedom from things, activities, and restrictions that make them unhappy. What makes people unhappy is sin. Sin should be looked upon as a way of destruction. War is sin because in war people kill. Killing is against the laws of harmony and love. There will never be peace until people stop sinning, that is, stop making war. "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men of good will" (Luke 2:14). Peace will only come when men are of peace, that is, when men are of "good will." He that kills with the sword or weapon will be killed by the sword (Rev 13:10). Man kills, therefore man will die by the sword until he stops killing. Man will have true freedom in God's kingdom because God will automatically change man's attitude from conflict to peace.

nm1077 >> L. All Men Will Be Prosperous During The Kingdom. Man will be prosperous because man during God's kingdom will be in harmony with the ways of harmony. Man will be putting his total output of work towards useful and constructive projects and thus will be in a much better economic situation than today when much energy is directed towards destruction (war) and towards the repairing of the destruction. There won't be any sick, mentally or physically, and this will allow more energy to be directed towards a prosperous economy.

15. 1000 Years of the Kingdom of God.

nm1078 >> The Bible speaks about an "everlasting" kingdom of God (2Pet 1:11; Dan. 7:27). But the translators of the Bible have mistranslated such words as "forever," "everlasting," and "eternal." The Bible was written mostly in two languages - Hebrew and Greek. The original words that were translated into "forever," "everlasting," and "eternal" actually mean aeonian, not forever (see the "Age Paper" [NM 7]). In other words, almost everywhere in the Bible where you see "forever," "everlasting," and "eternal" should read aeonian, age, or ages. Aeonian is a far cry from forever, for in order for it to be aeonian it must have a beginning and it implies the possibility of an end. But the word everlasting means it has no possibility of an end. Thus, when scripture is correctly translated, God's kingdom is an aeonian kingdom, and there are ageS within it not everlastingS or eternitieS within it. But unlike most ages, God's great age does not end, yet within this great age there are other ages (see "Age Paper" [NM 7]). One age within the ages of the Kingdom of God is the 1000 years (Rev 20:3, 5). Also see Ages in God's Plan for more info on ages.

16. God's Kingdom under Christ, Who Is King of Kings (Rev 19:16), Will Last Through an Age of 1000 Years (Rev 20:4).

nm1079 >> During this age some men "born" of God will rule as servants with Christ (Rev 20:4). These who are to be born of God, who were human beings during the time before Christ's physical return, can be labeled as true Christians. These real Christians will rule as servants of mankind, not as warlords (read Mat 20:25-28), during this 1000 year age.

17. But After the 1000 Year Age, The Kingdom of God Will Continue Into The Next Age - The Great Spiritual Last Day.

nm1080 >> The next age in the kingdom of God is an age of 100 years, which we call the Great Last Spiritual Day of Creation. It is a spiritual day of unity with God. ALL people who ever lived will be resurrected and live during this 100 year period. This age is a period of typical equal rulership and authority between all peoples - "the God, all things in all" (1Cor 15:28).

This period after the millennium has been completely overlooked by most people. See "God's Appointed Times Paper" [NM 16] and the "Thousand Years and Beyond Paper" [NM 15] for more information on the 100 year period.

18. Then After The 1000 Year Age, And After The 100 Year Age, Comes The End of The Spiritual Creation When The Antitypical New Heaven And Earth Will Be Created (1Cor 15:24-28; Rev 21:5).

nm1081 >> The antitypical creation is unlike the typical creation of the new heaven and earth. The typical creation of the new heaven and earth begins at Christ's physical return at the beginning of the 1000 year period (see 14 C above). The antitypical creation of the new heaven and earth happens at the time the totally new universe is created (note Rev 21:5). In that time everyone and everything will have been created new and will live in harmony and freedom from then and onward for God's age is an age without end (See "Age Paper" [NM 7]).
